Recently, Jānis Stūrītis graduated with a professional bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Riga Technical University. He also earned the qualification of Building Engineer. His bachelor’s thesis, “Adaptation of Gypsum Mortar Composition for 3D Printing of Elements,” is a groundbreaking work in using 3D printing technology for construction materials. He focused on improving gypsum mortar to make it suitable for 3D printing, which could change how buildings are constructed.
Jānis also worked on a project called “New Construction of the Complex of Stage Art Decoration Workshops in Riga.” This project highlights his practical skills and his ability to tackle real-life urban development problems.
He completed his thesis under the guidance of Dr. Maris Sinka. This reflects his commitment to working collaboratively and innovatively.
