The project commenced its activities in September 2023, with project participants convening for a Kick-off meeting in Latvia on September 8 and 9. The initial day of the meeting unfolded at the project coordinator’s hub, Riga Technical University, featuring discussions and a tour of the laboratory facilities.
On the following day, the project partners embarked on a visit to Sakret Ltd, gaining
valuable insights into the factory’s operations and laboratory procedures.
At its core, the project is geared towards the development of dry mixtures tailored for 3D concrete printing. These mixtures are engineered to incorporate a substantial percentage of oil shale ash, rendering them compatible with a diverse range of extrusion-based 3D printers while ensuring commendable mechanical strength and long-lasting durability.
